2. Saturday, May 11, continental breakfast 8:00-10:00am at the Dunes Club, 710 Fort Macon Road. This was sponsored by Cap'n Purcell and Helen Jones.

3. Saturday, gathering at Camp Morehead for fun and sun. This will begin around 10:00am. Lunch was catered by Bill's Barbecue of Wilson, NC.

4. Saturday night "Big Dance" and party at the Sheraton on Atlantic Beach 7:00pm - 1:00am. This included heavy hors d'ouevres, keg beer, cash bar, speakers to reminisce and roast Purcell, presentation of gifts and award to Purcell and Helen, and a dance to follow with live music. Casual dress.

5. Sunday, May 12, brunch at the Sheraton from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

Hello Camp Morehead.
Welcome to the Last Big Dance

My name is Bob Richards and I would like to thank you all for coming this weekend, I have often wished that I could get together again with my Camp Morehead friends, and in that respect, this weekend is a 'Dream come true'. Obviously, we have all shared that dream and it has brought us here tonight. We have traveled from near and far, London (Kevin Hudson), California (George Jones), Arizona (Sheridan Stone), and from even more exotic places like Lynchburg, Va., to be here. We have a big evening planned. First we are going to talk for awhile, and while we do please continue to eat and drink The food will be out until about 9:00 PM. The beer will continue to flow until the end of the party, the cash bar will remain open all night, and chips will be available later. Many of our 'old salts' and some of our young buccaneers' would like to speak and we are going to lead off with them. Then we have a gift or two that we would like to present to Helen and Purcell. And finally, we are going to 'shake a leg and dance into the night with "Power Play" from Virginia Beach.

Let me make a few announcements:

1.) Name and address lists are available...... please take only one per family and there should be enough to go around.

2.) Brunch tomorrow will be served in the..... restaurant from 9:00 AM until Noon, not in this room. The hotel will be having a Mother's Day brunch in this room tomorrow, so we gather in the....

8.) Cap'n Bill Tucker and his wife Peggy. 87-95

We cannot count or measure the ways in which Camp Morehead enriched our lives and we likewise cannot thank Helen and Purcell, Helen B and John enough for these gifts which they have given us over the years. As a token of our appreciation we have several gifts that we would like to present to Purcell and Helen.

bulletHarvey Martin and Bill Rixey. Plaques.
bulletLyndon Fuller, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine.

Thanks

Bill Rixey, Lyndon and Melissa Fuller and the decorating committee, thanks to all the other people who have helped in so many ways and again to all of you guys for coming.

Now finally, we are going to close with an act which will be very hard for the band to follow. The "Tower Play" band may want to take notes on this. Let me introduce to you Cap'n Tem Meyers and the Camp Morehead Crew. (Hang down your head Purcell)
