Camp Morehead from ages 10-12 in the mid-sixties. Counselor after finishing at Broughton High School in 1972, continued through college years at Georgia Tech and Wharton. Began career in Dallas with Mostek, a semiconductor producer. Transferred to Silicon Valley. Spent six years with VLSI Technology and then started Phase II Technical Sales, a manufacturers' rep company, in 1988. Active today in Phase II. Raced sailboats on San Francisco Bay year-round, and did some offshore racing, including the 300 mile Oakland to Catalina race. Has done a number of Caribbean bareboat charters for vacation. His family joined Brad van Tassel in St. Lucia and cruised down to the Grenadine Islands in 1992. George is hoping that at least one of his younger children will like racing enough to crew with him in the future. Wife Nancy - children Nate (15), Bennett (6), Haley (4), and Alyssa (2).
